What is Unvorhergesehen?
Unvorhergesehen – that are situations that you don’t expect ort hat come unexpected your way. Things or opportunities that appear unforeseen in front of you.
That’s what Unvorhergesehen deals with – and art, and meeting people offline…and see what others have done online. It’s an “Instant Photoexhibition for everyone”.
It is about creative processes, fun and entertainment without any borders, qualifications or skills.
How does Unvorhergesehen work?
We meet once a month at a place communicated on this website. Most of the times it is the first Monday of the month at a quarter to eight. You just have to bring any kind of digital camera – either point and shoot or DSLR. Just take care, that you save your pictures in a JPEG format on a memory card.
At the venue at 8 o’clock sharp the subject of the monthly exhibition will be presented to the attendees. After that you will get one hour time to shoot a related photo to the exhibitions subject. Your one or two best shots (that you define) will then be trensfered at the venue to the exhibition and preseneted via beamer within the venue after a short time from 9 o’clock on.
The subjects differ from every exhibition and are not communicated before the start. This is why you can’t prepare yourself or take pictures with you to cheat. No photos from online or else will be collected. It is just the moments and the ideas that were pictured some minutes ago.
Also there is no competition, censorship or rating of the pictures – this is art and every picture has the right to be judged only by the viewer.
What does it cost and how can I take part?
It costs nothing and you only have to be over 18 years old to enter the venue (which are mostly bars or pubs). The event is just for fun, taking part in arty processes and meet other people. There is nothing to pay for admittance or to win – except from a nice evening meeting nice people and showing your talents.
Where does Unvorhergesehen happen?
At the moment I am looking for locations in Germany and the network of locations is growing. But at the end I am trying to get a lot of locations all over europe involved, that have the same subject, exhibition and people getting together at the same time. That’s why this event will only work in the same time zone at the moment. When people from Sydney would attend, we would have to meet in the morning in Germany, which would not work
